George Ezra’s “Budapest” Goes Top 40 at Pop; “SNL” Performance Confirmed

Outside of Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me,” which enters at #23, there was only one new addition to the Top 40 of Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart.

George Ezra’s “Budapest” is that new addition.

Ezra’s international hit, which has already gone as high as #1 at US Triple A radio, #5 at US alternative radio and #15 at US hot adult contemporary radio, finally breaks into the Top 40 at pop this week. The song rises four places to a new peak of #39.

The song received a total of 946 spins during the March 8-14 tracking week.

— News of his song’s ascent into the pop Top 40 comes two days after NBC confirmed George Ezra for an upcoming “Saturday Night Live” episode. Ezra will serve as the musical guest for the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson-hosted March 28 episode.
