Hot 100: Taylor Swift’s “New Romantics” Debuts at #71

Taylor Swift - Late Night

Last week, Taylor Swift made “New Romantics,” the third and final bonus track from the Target edition of her “1989,” available for individual purchase on iTunes.

This week, it appears on the Billboard Hot 100.

Just as “Wonderland” did two weeks ago and “You Are in Love” did last week, the song arrives on the chart thanks to solid opening week sales interest. The tenth “1989” track to appear on the Hot 100 listing, “New Romantics” debuts at #71.

That #71 debut bests the #83 mark achieved by “You Are in Love” but trails the #51 debut point for “Wonderland.”

In addition to debuting on the Billboard Hot 100, “New Romantics” also lands on the Digital Songs subchart. It ranks as the week’s 16th-best seller.

The aforementioned “You Are in Love” appeared at #24 on last week’s Digital Songs chart. “Wonderland” earned #9 on the previous week’s breakdown.
