Nate Ruess’ “Nothing Without Love” Rises at Hot AC, Ranks as Alt’s Most Added

Nate Ruess’ solo single is demonstrating resonance with radio programmers.

In addition to registering as Hot AC’s most added song this week, “Nothing Without Love” also claims the distinction at alternative radio. According to Mediabase, it won pickups from 17 monitored stations this week.

The support at alternative and hot adult contemporary is manifesting as progress on the corresponding airplay charts. “Nothing Without Love” claims #31 on Wednesday’s edition of the rolling alternative airplay listing and #39 on the hot adult contemporary chart. It received 427 and 300 weekly spins at the two respective formats.

Other popular options at alternative radio this week included Alabama Shakes’ “Don’t Wanna Fight” (10 adds), The Offspring’s “Coming for You” (8 adds), Imagine Dragons’ “Shots” (8 adds), Meg Myers’ “Sorry” (8 adds) and Passion Pit’s “Lifted Up (1985)” (8 adds).
