Hot 100: Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up & Dance” Join Top 50

One is the follow-up to a #1 pop radio hit and top 10 Hot 100 hit. One is an alternative #1 that recently began a pop crossover attempt.

Both reach the Top 50 of this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” the former, continues making quick work of the all-encompassing chart. After hitting #56 last week, the track soars to #42 on this week’s listing.

Walk the Moon’s “Shut up and Dance,” the latter, also enjoys a healthy gain this week. The multi-format release, which leads Billboard’s alternative airplay chart, commands a respectable position on Adult Pop Songs and just reached the Top 40 on Pop Songs, rises nine places to #48 on this week’s Hot 100.
