Who is Fancy’s “Goodbye” Goes Top 40 at Pop Radio

Expect more pop music fans to begin asking, “Who is Fancy?”

“Goodbye,” the debut single from Republic’s mysterious Scooter Braun/Scott Borchetta discovery, rises to #38 on this week’s official Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. The song earns that position on the strength of the 800 spins it received during the February 15-21 tracking week.

Up seven places from last week’s spot, Who is Fancy’s “Goodbye” is one of five additions to this week’s top 40.

— As previously reported, Madonna’s “Living for Love” earns the #34 slot this week (1,447 spins).

— Echosmith’s “Bright,” which had already gone Top 40 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart, is now a Top 40 hit on the corresponding Mediabase listing. It flies to #35 this week (1,115 spins).

— Cash Cash’s “Surrender” vaults seven places to a new peak of #36 (813 spins).

— Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance,” which holds the #1 spot at alternative radio, leaps to the #39 slot at pop radio (766 spins).

— Olly Murs’ “Wrapped Up (featuring Travie McCoy)” rises two places to #40 (758 spins).*

*Both “Wrapped Up” and I LOVE MAKONNEN’s “Tuesday” received 758 spins during the tracking week. Mediabase initially listed awarded the tiebreaker to “Tuesday” but now gives the edge to “Wrapped Up.”
