Ratings: FX’s “The Americans” Sinks to Viewership Low

Last week, FX’s critically acclaimed “The Americans” opened its third season with the best ratings performance since its second season premiere.

This week’s episode took a colossal hit.

After scoring a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.90 million viewers last week, the drama settled for a mere 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 0.92 million viewers this week.

The 52% decline in total viewership produced the smallest audience ever for an “Americans” telecast. Prior to this week’s show, no episode ever drew fewer than 1.12 million viewers.

The show has, however, dipped to a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating.
