Hot 100: Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” Goes Top 15

The music community is showing ample love for Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do.”

Cut from the soundtrack to “50 Shades of Grey,” the alluring pop effort climbed to #20 on last week’s edition of the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

This week, it flies even higher.

The track rises six places to #14. One of three new top 15 entries (Pitbull’s “Time of Our Lives” hits #11, while Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” rises to #15), it officially becomes the third-highest-charting effort to involve Goulding as a lead or featured artist.

To date, “Lights” (peak #2) and “Burn” (peak #13) were the only Ellie Goulding releases to reach higher on the chart.

In addition to making waves on the Hot 100, “Love Me Like You Do” also advances on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart (to #23) and Adult Pop Songs chart (to #24).
