AWOLNATION’s “Hollow Moon,” Death Cab’s “Black Sun” Erupt at Alt Radio

Two high-profile new releases scored appropriately significant support from alternative radio programmers this week.

AWOLNATION’s “Hollow Moon” and Death Cab for Cutie’s “Black Sun,” the two songs, erupted with 26 and 25 monitored Mediabase adds, respectively. They register as the alternative format’s most- and second-most-added songs, respectively.

No other song commanded a third of that support this week.

The next-most-added track was Matt and Kim’s “Get It,” which picked up support from 7 stations. Joywave’s “Somebody New,” KONGOS’ “I Want to Know” and Vance Joy’s “Mess is Mine” followed with 6 adds each.
