Florida Georgia Line’s “Sun Daze” is Now One of Country’s 5 Most-Played

It might have been recently overtaken by Luke Bryan’s electric “I See You,” but Florida Georgia Line’s “Sun Daze” is still on the positive move.

This weekend, it will officially become a top five hit on Mediabase’s country airplay chart (which informs Country Aircheck).

The recipient of 6,824 spins and 48.40 million audience impressions between January 10 and 16, “Sun Daze” appears at #5 on Saturday’s rolling edition of the Mediabase chart. Insofar as it is rising at a time when Brad Paisley’s #6 “Perfect Storm” is falling and Randy Houser’s #7 “Like a Cowboy” will be unable to immediately close the gap, it will have no trouble holding its #5 position for Sunday’s official chart update.

Since formally arriving with 2012’s “Cruise,” FGL has yet to miss the top five with an official single.

— Kenny Chesney’s “Til it’s Gone” is poised to claim the #1 spot on this week’s chart. Eric Church’s “Talladega” will follow at #2, while Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water,” Brad Paisley’s “I See You” and the aforementioned “Sun Daze” serve to fill out the top five.
