Taylor Swift’s “Style” is Already One of Pop’s 30 Most-Played

Taylor Swift’s music does not seem to be going out of style.

On the January 6 version of the rolling Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, Swift’s new official single “Style” made its first appearance within the top 50.

By the January 10 edition of the chart, “Style” was already one of the format’s 40-most-played songs.

As of January 15, it is part of the rolling top thirty. And it is showing no signs of slowing down.

Its “official” radio impact might not be until February 10, but “Style” has already commanded adds from America’s most prominent pop stations; based on Mediabase’s data, those stations are playing the song.

The recipient of 1,835 spins during the seven days between January 8 and 14, “Style” grabs the #30 spot on the 1/15 rolling airplay chart.

The rapid riser, which enjoyed a 1,373 week-over-week spin gain and continues to accelerate, appears poised to enter the Top 25 in time for Sunday’s official airplay chart. From there, it will work towards becoming the third consecutive number one hit from “1989.”

— Thursday brings another dose of good news for “Style.” In addition to revealing that the song is now a Top 30 hit on the rolling pop chart, Mediabase confirms that the Swift song is one of the forty most-played at hot adult contemporary. It is #39 on that format’s rolling chart.
