Fall Out Boy’s “American Beauty/American Psycho” Sales Forecast Upgraded

Fall Out Boy’s “American Beauty/American Psycho” does not debut until this coming Tuesday, but industry sources are already expressing optimism about its anticipated sales tally.

According to Hits Daily Double, industry members are now expecting a debut week total in the 175-200,000 range. That represents a gain from the 150,000 forecast that was shared earlier this week.

The source of that optimism is the song’s performance in the pre-order phase. Hits estimates that the album’s pre-order total will have reached about 100,000 when the album goes live.

“American Beauty/American Psycho” is the follow-up to “Save Rock and Roll,” which moved 154,000 copies in its first week.
