Brad Paisley’s “Perfect Storm” Goes #1 at Country Radio

Already #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, Brad Paisley’s “Perfect Storm” will this evening claim #1 on the Mediabase country radio chart.

Narrowly defeated by Tim McGraw’s “Shotgun Rider” last week, Paisley’s “Storm” this week claims the Mediabase panel’s greatest points total — and largest spin count. It commanded approximately 7,828 spins during the January 4-10 tracking week.

Kenny Chesney’s “Til it’s Gone,” the week’s #2 song, commanded 7,517 plays.

Eric Church’s “Talladega” and Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” claim the next two spots. Their approximate weekly spin counts register at 7,222 and 7,178, respectively. McGraw’s former multi-week #1 “Shotgun Rider” slips to #5 on the strength of 6,392 weekly plays.
