Update: As first reported on Headline Planet’s Twitter, Hollywood Records opted not to send “Fire N Gold” for pop radio adds on February 3. A replacement impact date has not yet been provided.

Earlier this week, indications emerged that Bea Miller was planning to launch “Fire N Gold” as the follow-up to top 40 pop single “Young Blood.”

Those indications were accurate; “Fire N Gold,” which comes from the same “Young Blood” EP as its predecessor, has indeed been declared Miller’s next official single.

According to a representative for Hollywood Records, “Fire N Gold” will formally impact the pop radio format on February 3 (other radio industry sources list this date as February 17).

Deftly crafted, “Fire N Gold” layers an inviting guitar lick and Miller’s soulful, throaty, yet deceptively powerful voice over punch, escalating percussion. While not as atmospheric and immediately resonant as “Young Blood,” it possesses its predecessor’s unique edge, energy and lyrical sensibility and does nothing to undermine Miller’s status as a young act to watch.
