Nick Jonas’ “Chains” Impacts Pop Radio on January 20

The follow-up to pop radio’s #2 song is two weeks away from its official impact.

Confirming the poorly kept secret that “Chains” would be Nick Jonas’ next official single, Republic’s radio promotions team announced Monday that the song goes for pop adds on January 20.

The news comes as Jonas’ current single “Jealous” remains a hot radio commodity. In addition to holding the #2 spot on Mediabase’s pop airplay chart, the track is #11 at rhythmic, #17 at hot adult contemporary and #28 at adult contemporary.

“Chains,” which comes from Jonas’ self-titled solo debut, first emerged prior to the release of “Jealous.” Its official video, which hit YouTube in late July, has thus far commanded nearly 7 million views.

Republic will also be pushing Sheppard’s “Geronimo” to pop on January 20.
