Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” Hits Top 15 at Hot AC, Nears Top 25 at Pop

Still rising at hot adult contemporary and finally starting to make big moves at pop radio, Ella Henderson’s breakthrough single “Ghost” receives favorable news in the weekly Mediabase airplay update.

Henderson’s “Ghost,” which was the most recent iHeartRadio “On the Verge” song at the format, rises to #15 at Hot AC on the strength of the 2,299 spins it received during the November 30-December 6 tracking period. The spin count bests that of last week by 296; only five songs enjoyed greater weekly gains at Hot AC.

“Ghost” meanwhile rises four places to #26 at pop radio. Indicative of growing momentum, its weekly pop spin total of 2,623 bests last week’s count by a healthy 654.

Other Hot AC movers this week:

— Meghan Trainor’s “Lips are Movin” rises four places to a new peak of #23, while Imagine Dragons’ “I Bet My Life” grabs the #25 spot courtesy a gain of three positions.

— Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” enters the top 30 at #29.

— George Ezra’s “Budapest” and MAGIC!’s “Let Your Hair Down” reach the top 40 at #38 and #40, respectively.
