Charli XCX’s “Break the Rules” is One Of Pop’s 25 Most-Played

“Break the Rules” did not explode out of the gate in the vein of predecessor “Boom Clap,” but it has gradually worked its way into a respectable portion of the pop airplay chart.

Charli XCX’s latest single enters the top 25 on the latest rolling edition of Mediabase’s pop airplay chart. Its spin count of 2,796 was the pop format’s 25th-largest for the seven day period between November 25 and December 1.

The song commanded 9.92 million audience impressions during that tracking week.

“Break the Rules,” like “Boom Clap,” appears on Charli XCX’s sophomore album “Sucker.” The LP releases on December 15 in the United States.
