Austin Mahone Set for “TODAY” Show, Fifth Harmony Removed? (Updated)

Update: Fifth Harmony is no longer listed for the 12/9 edition of NBC’s “TODAY” Show. Per representatives for NBC and Epic Records, 5H will not be on the actual 12/9 episode but will tape a performance to air at a later date.

Talk about interesting timing.

On the heels of news that Austin Mahone and Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello ended their romantic relationship, which quickly followed Cabello’s announcement that they were together, comes a note that both acts will be present for the December 9 edition of NBC’s “TODAY” Show.

Per NBC’s official “TODAY” listings, the girls of Fifth Harmony will serve as the “celebrity elves” for the “Today Toy Drive” on that episode. Mahone, meanwhile, will be promoting his book “Just How it Happened.” Both acts are currently being advertised for the 7-9AM portion of the show.

Friendly to music industry personalities, that portion will also feature a live performance by Carrie Underwood. She will then appear for an interview during the 10AM hour.
