Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” Makes Greatest Airplay Gains at Pop, Hot AC

The explosive run of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” continued this past week.

According to Mediabase’s official airplay reports, “Blank Space” made the week’s greatest airplay gains at the pop and hot adult contemporary formats this week.

The song rises to #7 at pop radio on the strength of a 2,212 week-over-week spin gain. The gain, which helps “Blank Space” best last week’s chart position by six places, brought its total weekly spin count to 10,306.

Other top gainers at pop include Selena Gomez’ #21 “The Heart Wants What it Wants” (+1720 spins to 3,827), Calvin Harris’ #4 “Blame (featuring John Newman)” (+1,353 spins to 12,460), Ed Sheeran’s #3 “Don’t” (+1,147 spins to 15,172) and Mr Probz’ #5 “Waves” (+1,140 spins to 11,433).

“Blank Space” meanwhile grabs the #12 spot at Hot AC courtesy a 3,224 total weekly spin count. That represents a week-over-week gain of 1,065.

Other major gainers at Hot AC include Tove Lo’s #5 “Habits (Stay High)” (+613 spins to 5,100), Hozier’s #11 “Take Me to Church” (+591 spins to 3290), Sam Smith’s #7 “I’m Not the Only One” (+584 spins to 3,968) and Ed Sheeran’s #28 “Thinking Out Loud” (+411 spins to 780).
