Country Superstar Luke Bryan Wins CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year

On Wednesday night, the biggest name in country music took home the biggest award in country music.

Luke Bryan, whose most recent release “Crash My Party” has proven to be a bona fide blockbuster, grabbed the CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year at this year’s ceremony.

Bryan beat out country icon George Strait and superstars Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban and Blake Shelton to take home the important award.

Other key winners Wednesday included Miranda Lambert for Female Vocalist of the Year, Blake Shelton for Male Vocalist of the Year, Little Big Town for Vocal Group of the Year, Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” for Album of the Year, Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow” for Song of the Year, Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic” for Single of the Year, Florida Georgia Line for Vocal Duo of the Year, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert’s “We Were Us” for Musical Event of the Year, Brett Eldredge for New Artist of the Year, Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane” for Music Video of the Year and Mac McAnally for Musician of the Year.
