Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” is Now Pop’s Most-Played Song

On Monday, Billboard revealed that Tove Lo’s breakthrough hit “Habits (Stay High)” was the new number one song on its audience-based pop songs chart.

On Tuesday, “Habits” advanced to the #1 position on Mediabase’s airplay chart.

According to Mediabase, “Habits” commanded 15,960 spins during the seven day window between October 28 and November 3. That gave it the slight edge over Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang,” which received 15,754 spins during that period.

A lock to hold the top spot for at least the rest of the week, “Habits” will score the #1 position on Mediabase’s official pop airplay chart. That listing goes to print Sunday evening.

The multi-format hit is also charting on hot adult contemporary at #8, on rhythmic at #17 and adult contemporary at #32. It is no longer considered a “current” song at alternative (and thus not charting) but is still one of that format’s forty most-played songs.
