Hot 100: Maddie & Tae’s “Girl” Reaches New Peak, RaeLynn Debuts

One is currently a top ten track at country radio. One, as the latest iHeartRadio “On the Verge” selection, is making considerable gains at radio and potentially a future top ten hit.

Both are successful female releases on a radio format with disproportionate male representation. And, according to Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100, both songs are as hot as they have ever been.

Maddie and Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song,” the former, reaches a new peak of #60 on this week’s all-encompassing Hot 100. Expected to continue rising on the Hot 100 as it chases a Top 5 and, possibly, a #1 position at country radio, “Girl” has survived beyond the initial media hype and proven itself to be a legitimate country smash.

RaeLynn’s “God Made Girls,” the latter song, debuts at #98 on this week’s chart. Due to the iHeartRadio program, it is a lock to receive airplay growth in the coming weeks. It, therefore, seems like a lock to rise up the all-encompassing Hot 100.
