Update: Despite a claim from label Epic Records that Fifth Harmony would be performing on the November 6 edition of “Good Morning America,” the five-piece girl group actually visited the New York City-based show to perform “Sledgehammer” on November 7.

The performance will air as part of the November 12 installment of “GMA.”

Late Tuesday, the girls of Fifth Harmony delighted fans with the release of new single “Sledgehammer.”

Indicative of a warm embrace from the community of “Harmonizers,” the song reached as high as #3 on the iTunes all-genre single sales chart.

Wednesday afternoon, the former “X Factor” act provided fans with another reason to smile: Camila, Ally Brooke, Lauren, Dinah and Normani will be performing the single on the November 6 edition of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Confirmed in an Epic Records press release, the performance is one of two noteworthy gigs scheduled for the next few weeks. On November 9, Fifth Harmony will perform “Sledgehammer” on the November 9 MTV EMA pre-show.

Beginning November 17, 5H will also be featured on all MTV platforms as part of its “Artist to Watch” campaign.
