Echosmith’s “Cool Kids,” Kenny Chesney’s “American Kids” Top 1 Million Sales

One is an emerging pop act. One is a veteran of the country genre. Both have a single that went over the million sales mark last week.

Sibling band Echosmith, which has been recognized by MTV as an “Artist to Watch,” by VH1 as a “You Oughta Know” Artist and by iHeartMedia as an “On the Verge” act, achieves the feat courtesy breakthrough single “Cool Kids.”

“Cool Kids,” which reached #13 on last week’s Billboard Hot 100, currently maintains the #19 position on the iTunes Single Sales chart. It is #5 at hot adult contemporary radio, #10 at pop radio and #17 at adult contemporary radio.

Chesney’s “American Kids” also joined the million sales club last month. The former country radio #1 went as high as #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.
