Iggy Azalea, MØ Release “Beg for It” Ahead of “SNL” Appearance (Listen)

Taking a page out of Sam Smith’s book, Iggy Azalea has released a hotly anticipated new single ahead of her scheduled “Saturday Night Live” performance.

“Beg for It,” that single, will own one of Azalea’s two performance segments on the show. And as of Friday at 6AM ET, it is receiving ample radio support as part of a first day airplay promotion.

The track features the signature elements of a mainstream Iggy Azalea hit: a creative beat, confidently delivered rap portions and a well-sung chorus. In this case, the voice behind the chorus is Danish singer-songwriter MØ.

While the melody bares obvious similarities to Charli XCX’s portion on “Fancy,” MØ’s voice brings a flavor distinct enough to help “Beg for It” stand on its own.
