Jimmy Fallon’s “Ew!” Debuts at #26 on Hot 100, Sells 35K Copies

Interested in meeting the man behind the top debut on this week’s Billboard Hot 100? Tune into tonight’s edition of “The Tonight Show” and say “hello.”

No, not to the musician who takes the stage at the end of the broadcast but to host Jimmy Fallon, whose “Ew! (featuring will.i.am)” flies into the #26 position on this week’s chart.

The comedy track owes its impressive bow to a massive first week streaming number. According to Billboard, the “Ew!” video amassed 6 million registered US streams in its opening week, which was the industry’s eighth-largest count.

“Ew!” also performed admirably from a digital sales standpoint. It opens at #30 on the Digital Songs subchart with first-week sales of 35,000.
