Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On” Hits #5 as Country’s Greatest Gainer

Currently erupting at the county format, Sam Hunt’s “Leave the Night On” advances to #5 on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart.

Initially boosted by the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program and recently boosted by the singer-songwriter’s surging buzz, “Leave the Night On” earns the #5 position thanks to its 6,145 spins during the September 30 – October 6 tracking period.

That total represents a week-over-week gain of 1,041, which is the largest for the format. The song’s daily spin total increase of 195 is also country’s most significant.

Other big spin gainers for the September 30 – October 6 period include Blake Shelton’s #7 “Neon Light” (+818), Tim McGraw’s #20 “Shotgun Rider” (+711), Little Big Town’s #11 “Day Drinking” (+614) and Kenny Chesney’s #38 “Til It’s Gone” (+578).
