FX Renews “Married,” Ships “You’re the Worst” to FXX

Despite posting soft ratings throughout the summer, FX’s freshman Thursday comedies “Married” and “You’re the Worst” will both be back for second seasons.

Only one, however, will return to the flagship FX network.

“Married,” which aired in the Thursday at 10PM slot this summer, is that comedy. Its thirteen episode second season will air on FX.

The second season of “You’re the Worst,” meanwhile, will air on sister network FXX, which is currently home to comedies “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “The League.”

The second “You’re the Worst” season will also consist of thirteen episodes.

“We love these shows and the creative visions of Andrew Gurland of Married and Stephen Falk of You’re the Worst,” says FX’s Nick Grad. “Both series have terrific ensemble casts and outstanding lead performances – Nat Faxon and Judy Greer in Married, and Chris Geere and Aya Cash in You’re the Worst. These shows are honest, 360-degree looks at relationships and we’re excited to see how they evolve.”
