Maroon 5’s “Animals” is Most-Added at Hot AC, Sam Smith, Nico & Vinz Follow

Do not bank on Hot AC’s second greatest airplay gainer experiencing a significant slowdown.

Maroon 5’s new “Animals,” which is already up to #30 on Mediabase’s rolling Hot AC radio airplay chart, reigns as the week’s most-added song.

According to Mediabase, the follow-up to #1 hit “Maps” garnered an impressive 31 monitored adds this week. Better than the 20 earned last week, the count sends “Animals” to the top of the Hot AC add board and gears the song to continue its rapid airplay surge.

Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One” follows as second-most-added with 21 new pickups. A rapid riser in its own right, it is already up to #35 on the rolling airplay chart.

Nico & Vinz’ “In Your Arms” claims third-most-added with support from 16 extra stations, while Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” follows with an add count of 14.

Milky Chance’s “Stolen Dance,” Vance Joy’s “Riptide” and Nickelback’s “What Are You Waiting For” then tie for fifth-most-added with ten pickups. “What Are You Waiting For” was last week’s most-added track.

Other songs on the receiving end of solid support include Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” (8th-most-added, 8 adds), OneRepublic’s “I Lived” (9th, 7 adds), Big Data’s “Dangerous (featuring Joywave)” (10th, 6 adds), Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be (featuring Jess Glynne)” (10th, 6 adds), Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries” (10th, 6 adds) and Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” (10th, 6 adds).
