Ratings: “Mysteries of Laura” Draws Huge Audience, Modest A18-49 Mark

Significantly old-skewing for an NBC drama, “The Mysteries of Laura” delivered monster viewership but a modest adults 18-49 rating in its time period premiere Wednesday.

The Mysteries of Laura draws nearly 10 million viewers.

Wednesday’s episode, which aired in the 8PM hour, drew a whopping 10.01 million viewers to rank as the time period’s most-watched show.

Its adults 18-49 number, however, clocked in at a rather soft 1.5 adults.  While not terrible in 2014, it certainly looks light when juxtaposed with the total viewership number.  The show was a distant third–behind ABC’s comedies and CBS’ “Survivor”–among adults 18-49 in the 8PM hour.

On the plus side, “Laura” improved its viewership and adults 18-49 marks as it progressed.  After opening with a 1.4 and 9.48 million viewers from 8-8:30PM, the show drew a 1.6 with 10.26 million from 8:30-9PM.

NBC also offered “Law & Order: SVU” (2.2 rating, 10.07 million viewers) and “Chicago PD” (1.9, 8.51 million).
