Ruled once again by Maroon 5’s “Maps,” Mediabase’s weekly hot adult contemporary airplay chart welcomes several buzzworthy songs to its Top 40.

Leading the charge is Milky Chance’s alternative crossover “Stolen Dance,” which appears at #36 on the official edition of the chart. Fueled by the format’s sixth-largest spin gain (+298), the song earned 556 spins during the September 7-13 tracking period.

Vance Joy’s “Riptide,” which spent multiple weeks atop the alternative airplay chart, also hops into the Hot AC top forty this week. The song reaches #38 on the strength of 439 spins (+150) within the 9/7-13 window.

Ella Henderson’s “Ghost,” which is one of pop radio’s Top 50 songs, becomes one of hot AC’s top 40 songs this week. The song reaches #39 thanks to 331 weekly spins (+88).

Despite losing airplay last week, Jason Mraz’ “Love Someone” benefits from some chart purging/recurrent removal and hops into the #40 slot. It earned 324 plays (-5) during the seven day tracking period.
