One Direction Announces New Album, Free “Fireproof” Download (Updated)

With only about five seconds of summer remaining, it is time for news about a new One Direction album.

The five-piece boy band announced Monday that it has “Worked incredibly hard writing and recording” its latest studio album, which will be called “Four.”

In addition to delighting fans with the album announcement, the group also released “Fireproof,” one of the tracks from the album, as a free download. Over the next twenty four hours, Directioners–and non-Directioners–will be able to access the free “Fireproof” download by clicking here.

(Update: Adhering to its deadline, One Direction removed the free “Fireproof” download Tuesday morning)

“As a special thank you for everything you guys have done for us we wanted to give you ‘Fireproof’ – it’s a track from the album and you can get it for free right now,” wrote the five One Direction members.

“Four” will ship on November 17.
