Hot 100: Tove Lo’s “Habits” Enters Top 20, Katy Perry Goes Top 30

While staying high might be the plan to keep him off her mind, getting higher is a more apt description of Tove Lo’s run on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now in its fourteenth week on the chart, her alt crossover “Habits (Stay High)” rises three places to #20.

A popular streaming and digital download option all summer, “Habits” recently began making a meaningful run at pop radio. Aided by iHeartRadio’s “On the Verge” program, that surge in radio audience has turned “Habits” into a legitimate all-around hit and thus fueled the rapid Hot 100 climb.

Tove Lo’s “Habits” is not the only song to bust through a noteworthy Hot 100 gate.

— Eminem’s “Guts Over Fear (featuring Sia),” which debuts this week, vaults directly into the Top 25. It kicks off its run at #22.

— Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Boy” (“Hot N*gga”) also enters the Top 25. It rises eighteen places to its new peak of #25.

— Now in its fifth week on the chart, Katy Perry’s “This is How We Do” officially enters the Top 30. It vaults seven places to #29 on the weekly Billboard listing.

— Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t” enters the Top 40 on the strength of a thirteen spot lift to #34.
