Maddie & Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song” Goes Top 30, Chase Bryant Top 40

It might no longer be gaining daily headlines from every entertainment publication in existence, but Maddie and Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song” continues to make major waves within the country genre.

The song, which is the country format’s seventh-greatest airplay gainer, hits the Top 30 on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling country airplay chart.

“Girl in a Country Song” earned 1,445 spins between August 9 and 15 to rank as the format’s 30th-most-played song. Its audience impression count of 10.26 million was country’s 29th-largest during that measured period.

The song also maintains a solid presence on the iTunes single sales chart. As of press time, it was #67 on the all-genre chart.

— Also on the move at country: Chase Bryant’s “Take it on Back.” The track, which is the latest to receive the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” boost, jumps to #37 on Saturday’s rolling airplay chart. It received 1,214 spins and an audience of 6.68 million impressions during the August 9-15 window.
