Hot 100: Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” Goes Top 10, MAGIC! Wins

“Boom Clap,” the sound of my heart — and of a new song entering the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100.

Charli XCX’s breakthrough solo release, which reigns as the week’s Top Airplay Gainer, climbs into the #10 position on the weekly chart. “Boom Clap” becomes her first lead or solo single–and third overall release–to reach the uppermost 10% of the chart.

Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX),” one of those songs, maintains a dominant position on this week’s chart. Trailing only MAGIC!’s “Rude,” which earns a fifth week at #1, and Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me,” “Fancy” holds in the #3 spot.

Charli XCX also reached as high as #7 as a featured artist on Icona Pop’s “I Love It.”

— Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” (#4) and Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” (#5) claim the remaining top five spots this week.

Other top ten members include Ariana Grande’s #6 “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea),” Maroon 5’s #7 “Maps,” Sia’s #8 “Chandelier” and Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s #9 “Bang Bang.”
