Kacey Musgraves’ “Merry Go ‘Round” Goes Platinum

Kacey Musgraves’ two most recognizable songs achieved new certifications from the RIAA in July.

According to a press release from the organization, her Grammy-winning “Merry Go “Round” received a platinum certification for crossing the one million digital units mark. Fellow country releases from Jerrod Niemann (“Drink to That All Night”) and Jake Owen (“Beachin'”) also went platinum during the seventh month of 2014.

Her “Follow Your Arrow,” meanwhile, achieved Gold status for moving past the half million units mark. Other newly-minted gold country songs include Dierks Bentley’s “Drunk on a Plane,” Brett Eldredge’s “Beat of the Music,” Tyler Farr’s “Whiskey in My Water,” Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood’s “Somethin’ Bad,” Joe Nichols’ “Yeah” and Chris Young’s “Who I Am With You.”

New multi-platinum country certifications include a 3X mark for Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl (Shake it for Me)” and an 8x label for Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise.”
