FX’s “Tyrant” Ratings Slip After Last Week’s Rebound

What went up came back down this week.

After enjoying an uptick in both adults 18-49 and viewers for last week’s third episode, FX’s new drama “Tyrant” lost steam in its fourth week of broadcast.

Down from last week’s 0.6 adults 18-49 rating and 1.70 million viewership total, this week’s installment drew a 0.5 rating with 1.57 million viewers.

The rating ties the series low 0.5 delivered by the show’s second episode on July 1, but the viewership average bests that broadcast’s 1.38 million count.

“Tyrant” premiered on June 24 with a 0.6 rating and 2.10 million viewers. While that performance pales in comparison to the 1.2 and 2.99 million delivered by Sunday’s series premiere of fellow newcomer “The Strain,” it bests the 0.5 rating and 1.50 million garnered by last week’s season premiere of sophomore series “The Bridge.”
