MAGIC!’s “Rude” Emerges as Fastest-Rising Song at Top 40 Radio

Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” might reign as Top 40 radio’s most-played song, but MAGIC!’s breakthrough smash “Rude” is its fastest-rising one.

According to Mediabase, “Rude” garnered 8402 spins in the seven days ending June 14 to become pop radio’s twelfth-most-played song. An increase of 1829 from the previous seven day period, it received the format’s largest lift.

Clearly on the rise, “Rude” will soon enter the top 10 at pop radio.

Other big gainers included Ariana Grande’s #2 “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” (+1778), Nico and Vinz’ #8 “Am I Wrong” (+1436), Iggy Azalea’s #1 “Fancy” (+1350) and OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out” (+1333).

Currently #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, “Rude” is the best-selling song on iTunes.
