FX’s “The Americans” Ratings Fall Back Down

After rising in the adults 18-49 demographic for the first time in several weeks, FX’s “The Americans” slid back down Wednesday.

“Yousaf,” the latest installment of the acclaimed cable series, drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.27 million viewers.

After delivering that same 0.4 for several consecutive weeks, “The Americans” rose to a 0.5 with 1.37 million for last week’s episode.

Already renewed for season three, the ratings downtick has no bearing on the show’s immediate future. It does, however, continue to prove that the show’s immense critical acclaim is not doing much to move the live viewership needle.
