“The Voice'”s Christina Grimmie Quickly Scores iTunes Bonus

Update: The voting period is officially over, and NBC’s “The Voice” will once again extend a single iTunes bonus to one of its season six finalists.

Currently fourth on the overall iTunes Single Sales chart, Christina Grimmie’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” is the lucky recipient of that 5x multiplier.

The positions at the 12PM voting deadline were as follows:

Hold on, Christina Grimmie. You’re going to the upper reaches of the iTunes Single Sales Chart.

Performed on Monday’s Top 10 edition of “The Voice,” Grimmie’s rendition of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” exploded into the iTunes Top Ten. Currently number eight, it will surely remain in the top ten when the voting closes at 12PM ET.

In doing so, it will secure the contestant the 5x iTunes vote multiplier.

While Grimmie’s performance might be the only Top 10 number to score an iTunes bonus, it is not the only one making an impact on iTunes. By press time, several other performances had ascended into the top 100.

First among those is Kristen Merlin’s “Let Her Go.” Presently #40, the song is Merlin’s second consecutive number to land in the top 100. Audra MacLaughlin’s “You Lie” follows at #48.
