John Legend, Luke Bryan to Perform at Billboard Music Awards

It might not be the most prestigious music awards show, but insofar as its awards are directly linked to Billboard performance, it is a guaranteed destination for high-profile performances.

Delivering on that expectation, Billboard announced Friday that John Legend, Luke Bryan, Imagine Dragons and OneRepublic will join previously confirmed act Jason DeRulo in performing at the annual Billboard Music Awards.

More performers will be announced shortly.

The four new acts fit perfectly into the show’s dynamic.

The industry’s most popular rock act, Imagine Dragons also ties Lorde with a ceremony-best 12 Billboard Award nominations. Luke Bryan reigns as country’s biggest star outside of Taylor Swift–and its most-nominated, period. He is up for six awards.

Up for the milestone award, John Legend is also enjoying career-defining success with new single “All of me.” It is currently number two on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Nominated twice, OneRepublic enjoyed major commercial success with its single “Counting Stars.”
