Update: The CW’s “Star-Crossed” Ratings Fall Monday Night

Update: Steady in the overnight household ratings, marks for The CW’s “Star-Crossed” nonetheless endured a tumble in the adults 18-49 and total viewership categories.

After posting a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.04 million viewers last week, this week’s episode settled for a 0.3 rating with 0.97 million viewers. The viewership tally narrowly tops the 0.88 million garnered by the series low broadcast on March 24, but the adults 18-49 rating ties the low posted by that broadcast (and earlier season one episodes).

After weeks of oscillation, The CW’s “Star-Crossed” managed to hold steady in the overnight metered market ratings.

Monday’s episode, the eighth of the show’s inaugural season, matched last week’s 0.9 overnight household rating.

While there is no guarantee the show will precisely match last week’s 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 1.04 million viewers, the overnight stability again reflects the extent to which the show has found a core household audience.

Whether that core is large enough to warrant a second season remains to be seen.

Not wanting to program an original “The Tomorrow People” opposite the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, The CW aired encore programming at 9PM.
