Jointly celebrating Throwback Thursday and the upcoming promotional cycle for the new single, Katy Perry Tweeted the light-hearted cover art for “Birthday.”
“In honor of #TBT may I present the cover of my NEXXXT single, BIRTHDAY,” Tweeted Perry. The cover, which affixes balloon type to a photo from her youth, follows:
In an attempt to build buzz around the announcement, Perry offered to reveal an uncensored look at her sister’s face.
“IF you would like to see my sisters amazing face/pose get #BIRTHDAY trending to the top & I will UNLOCK the genius [for] you… Hahahahahaha,” added Perry.
The follow-up to number one smash “Dark Horse” and fourth release from “PRISM,” “Birthday” has already been commanding spins at select Top 40 radio stations.
