FX’s “The Americans” Ratings Hold, Viewership Hits Series Low

Engrossed critics continue to rave and passionate fans continue to gush. Unfortunately, none of the word-of-mouth is igniting a ratings resurgence for FX’s “The Americans.”

While it matched last week’s performance in adults 18-49, Wednesday’s episode dipped to a new low in total viewers.

The episode, the sixth of the season, posted a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with only 1.21 million viewers. Last week’s segment mustered a 0.4 with 1.39 million viewers.

Despite its endless buzz and appearance on countless “best of” lists, “The Americans” failed to elicit strong interest for its season premiere. And as the ratings confirm, that small interest has only waned.
