Luke Bryan, Aloe Blacc Lead Weekly Album Sales Race; Latest Estimates

He might sing about being “The Man,” but he is not the only male artist vying for a number one debut on next week’s Billboard 200 album sales chart.

According to Hits Daily Double, Aloe Blacc will deal with competition from Luke Bryan–as well as the enduring “Frozen” soundtrack–in the hunt for first place.

At press time, Hits was projecting an opening week sum of 60-80,000 for Luke Bryan’s “Spring Break 6” EP and 60-75,000 for Aloe Blacc’s “Lift Your Spirit.”

A more definitive portrait of the sales race will be available later this week.

Other notable newcomers include 311’s “Stereolithic” (projected for a 35-45,000 bow), Young Money’s “Rise of an Empire” (30-40,000) and Ledisi’s “The Truth” (20-30,000).
