Pharrell’s “Happy” Hits Number One, “All of Me” Goes Top 5

Clap along if you’re excited to see a new number one.

Pharrell’s red-hot “Happy” has finally dethroned Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse (featuring Juicy J)” on the Billboard Hot 100.

In climbing to number one, “Happy” gives Pharrell his first chart-topper as a lead artist. He previously reached the Hot 100’s apex as a featured artist on “Blurred Lines,” “Money Maker” and “Drop it Like It’s Hot.”

After four weeks on top, “Dark Horse” slips to number two on the Hot 100. Jason DeRulo’s “Talk Dirty (featuring 2 Chainz)” follows in third.

Moving into fourth place is John Legend’s “All of Me.” The song, which settled for number eleven last week, officially gives Legend his first career top ten (and top 5) on the Hot 100.

Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love (featuring Jay-Z)” claims fifth.

Bastille’s “Pompeii” and Lorde’s “Team” follow in sixth and seventh, respectively. Both are new Hot 100 peaks for the multi-format hits.

A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera’s “Say Something” settles for eighth, while OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” and Pitbull’s “Timber (featuring Ke$ha)” close out the top ten.
