“How I Met Your Mother” Overnight Ratings Rise for 200th Episode

Update: Riding a significant wave of interest in its “How Your Mother Met Me” concept, the 200th episode of CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” scored the show’s best rating in more than 2 years.

The episode surged to a whopping 3.8 adults 18-49 rating with 10.70 million viewers.

“2 Broke Girls” followed with a 3.0 and 9.93 million viewers. “Mike & Molly” (2.6, 10.73 million) and “Mom” (2.4, 9.48 million) handled the 9PM slot, while “Intelligence” closed the night with a 1.5 and 6.77 million.

One of the season’s best episodes, the 200th edition of “How I Met Your Mother” also delivered in the ratings department.

The episode, which walked through the series’ chronology from the perspective of the titular mother (Cristin Milioti), drew a 6.7 overnight metered market rating.

An improvement from the 5.9 delivered by the previous two “Mother” installments, the performance fueled a stronger night for the balance of CBS’ comedy lineup.

8:30PM lead-out “2 Broke Girls” improved by three tenths to a 6.1, while “Mike & Molly” (6.6) and “Mom” (5.9) grew by five and three tenths, respectively.

“Intelligence,” which aired against a new “The Blacklist” but a re-run of “Castle,” improved by seven tenths to a 4.7 rating.
