A Great Big World’s Album Sales Look Modest, Young the Giant Follows

Breakthrough single “Say Something” has proven to be a commercial juggernaut, but A Great Big World’s album will settle for a more modest performance.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Is There Anybody Out There?” is pacing for an opening week debut in the 45-50,000 range. While that might rank as the week’s best total for a new release, it will not propel the AGBW album to number one on the overall album sales chart.

Save for the recipient of a last-minute Grammys boost, that honor should belong to the “Frozen” soundtrack.

Among new releases, other notable performers will include the Grammy Nominees compilation (currently pacing for 40-45K) and Young the Giant’s “Mind Over Matter” (30-35K pace).
