Unlike “The Voice,” FOX’s “The X Factor” did not ask viewers to wait until the end of its two hour season finale to get the first result.
Roughly an hour into Thursday’s season three finale, the show confirmed that Team Paulina member Carlito Olivero was the third place finisher.
Never considered a top contender, Olivero had proven himself a survivor in recent weeks. But with popular acts Alex & Sierra and Jeff Gutt also in the mix for the season three crown, Olivero’s journey would go no farther.
“The X Factor” will reveal its third winner at approximately 9:55PM ET.
