“SNL” Ratings Improve for Paul Rudd, One Direction

The tandem of host Paul Rudd and musical guest One Direction helped “Saturday Night Live” match a season high household rating this weekend.

According to NBC, the Rudd-hosted episode scored a 4.9 overnight metered market rating. Though “SNL” matched that household number twice this season–for the Kerry Washington and Lady Gaga episodes–it has not beaten it since the Justin Timberlake double duty episode on March 9, 2013.

Among adults 18-49, “SNL” improved by 25% from the previous episode (host Josh Hutcherson, musical guest HAIM) to deliver a 2.5.

John Goodman hosts with musical guest Kings of Leon next weekend.
