“Star Wars Episode VII” Hype Kicks off with Darth Vader Selfie

If “Star Wars” is going to do social media, it is truly going to do social media.

As the march towards the December 18, 2015 release of “Star Wars: Episode VII” ensues, so too does the franchise’s presence on Instagram.

Launched yesterday, the account, which the official “Star Wars” website called “useless to resist,” features three photos.

The first? A selfie of iconic villain Darth Vader.

Posted below, the image included the caption, “Another day at the office. #StarWars #DarthVader #selfies #gpom.”
